Showers require a moderate amount of ongoing maintenance. One of the primary concerns associated with showers is mildew as when the air fills with moisture, it creates the perfect environment for mildew to grow. Simple cleaning steps with commercial products should keep your shower clean. Also, adding proper ventilation will work to reduce the moisture accumulating in the bathroom. Another maintenance step homeowners should take for their showers is to replace or repair the sealants around the shower edges.
If a clogged or slow showerhead develops, you should be able to clean it with a lime removal product. Dipping the clogged showerhead into the bucket with cleaning solutions should remedy this situation. And yet another common problem that develops with showers is a slow drain. Most often, hair is the culprit to a slow moving drain. A commercial snake can clear the drain along with drain clogging solutions. These simple steps can ensure that your shower remains functioning at its optimal level.
