Renovating bathrooms is one of the top ways to increase a home's value. One portion which will need to be addressed is the bathtub. If you plan to replace the bathtub, follow these simple steps for a smooth installation project. The first step is taking out the old tub. Shutting off your water supply is the first thing you'll need to do. Once the water is shut off, you can begin removing the bathtub's hardware. When the hardware is off, you can take the old tub out. While you are removing the old bathtub, be sure not to damage the flooring as this will cause you to incur an added expenditure.
Installing your new bathtub is a simple process of doing everything you've just done with the old tub only in reverse order. Once the new bathtub is in place, it's a good idea to fill it up with water to ensure there are no leaks and that your tub will withstand being full without cracking your sealant. Once all the hardware has been secured in place, you can put on the sealant, be careful to remove any excess sealant. You now have a great looking bathtub and one that will enhance the décor of the room.
