General Home Improvements

10 Things to Expect From a Home Inspection

General home improvements can add resale value to your home. While you will find a variety of repairs that need attending to annually, you can create a list of improvements that you would like to tackle so you can proactively make progress as well. General home improvements should not only address unfinished projects around the house, but those areas which an improvement will increase the future resale value of the property. Some home improvement ideas could include bathroom and kitchen renovations, painting, adding or updating crown moulding, increasing the quality of the landscaping, refinishing floors or updating the type of floors.

Create a list of your ‘would like' to do's, then work through your annual home improvement budget to create a prioritized list of items to tackle. Next, head to your home improvement store for ideas and instructions on how to complete your initial project. Once you complete one item on the list, you will notice that the momentum will begin to carry you through all of the other general home improvements you have noted.
