Vinyl provides homeowners with a durable, maintenance-free fencing, but have it installed professionally. There's a wide range of vinyl fencing products on the market with an equally wide range of costs. Consumer-grade vinyl can be made of recycled plastics, but professional-grade fencing is sold as virgin vinyl-PVC. You can choose vinyl material that includes a mixture of UV inhibitors to protect the fencing from damage caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight. It's important to choose a thicker grade of vinyl for post materials if you're not using wood posts. An optimal choice may be 5" vinyl posts with concrete footers.
Many brands of vinyl fencing come with routed rails or grooves for attaching pickets. You can have in-ground vinyl fence posts reinforced with rebar. An attractive selection of post caps, gates, and trellises is availabe to complete the look of your vinyl fence. If you don't want a picket fence style, you can choose a solid privacy fence or semi-privacy model with tight-fitting pickets.
Vinyl is non-porous, so you can't paint it but the non-porous qualities help resist mold, mildew, and graffiti. Easily clean your fence by pressure washing with mild soap and water. While vinyl is less flexible in cold conditions, it adjusts to fluctuations in temperatures without damage.
