Choosing a kitchen sink often involves putting the finishing touches on a kitchen renovation. When you are choosing a kitchen sink, you will be choosing the overall style, the sink's material, faucets, and sprayers. How the sink is mounted will also be determined by the type of counter you select, for example whether you mount it under the counter or on top of the counter. Here are the most common sink mounting options:
- Rimless: attaches to the counter itself
- Self rimming: has a molded edge
- Over the counter: overlap the counter top
Once you have selected the proper mounting for your chosen countertops, you will want to review the various sink material options. While many people prefer stainless steel sinks, you will also find porcelain and other choices while on your search.
Overall, your kitchen sink should provide functionality and design flair for your overall kitchen design plan.
