Wet bars are popular additions to all types of homes, particularly in entertaining spaces such as basements or game rooms. Wet bars may involve stationary bars installed within a given space within a home, bars with seating or bars that can be moved within a given space. The space in which you plan to install a wet bar will dictate the type of bar you select. If you choose a wet bar with seating, you will be able to choose not only the type of counter, but the type of barstools to complete your design appeal.
It is important to take the height of the counter into consideration when purchasing stools as they are available in a variety of heights. Granted the decision must be based on the amount of space, however most should be no less than 42 to 45 inches high, with a 12 inch overhang.
