Painting
In addition to painting the interior of your home, you will also want to paint the exterior of your home. Even homes with siding or brick tend to have areas which are painted, specifically in the rear of the home, surrounding the garage or on shutters used as accents on the front of the home. Over time, exterior paint will become worn, requiring either touch up paint jobs or a completely new paint job to return the home to its prior glory.
When painting a home's exterior, you will want to begin by thoroughly washing the surface area. In many cases, a pressure washer can be effective to result in a clean exterior. Then, you may consider priming the areas to paint to both cover up prior paints applied and to result in a smooth new paint job. Exterior paints are comprised of different components than interior paints, so be sure that you selected the proper cans at the paint store. Painting the exterior of your property on a regular basis will ensure that your home's curb appeal and overall condition remains strong over time.
