Painting a room is one easy way to change its overall design appearance. When painting a room, you can do-it-yourself or hire a professional. And, you can work on a project as simple as painting a single color to as complex as faux painting or adding texture.
If you are looking for a quick and easy change for a room, simply prime and paint it a different color to suit your room's décor. Or, you could add a stencil to the walls or as a border. Stencils are an extremely popular choice within a child's room to add character. For a more dramatic effect, you can choose paints to layer, techniques which add dimension such as suede, leather, ragging or even stonework. Most paint stores today will offer classes on how to apply these techniques to your walls yourself. Or, you could always turn to a professional for assistance. No matter which paint option you select, you will see results in as little as 1-3 days.
