Interior painting of any kind is viewed as a significant job to a homeowner. But, with some simple tips, you can update or change your interior paint in a weekend. With so many paint types, colors and techniques available today, choosing the direction you would like to take a room in can be challenging. Once you have selected the desired end result for your rooms, you can begin the prep work.
One thing to point out is that the preparation work typically requires more of your time than the actual paint job itself. For this reason, this step is viewed as the most critical to complete properly. It is important to prime the walls you plan to paint, to remove any former residue left from previous paint or wallpaper jobs and to tape the walls to avoid unwanted paint marks on the windows or trim. Once you have primed the walls and prepared the area, you can begin to place your chosen paint colors on the surfaces. Depending upon the color and quality of the paint, the walls may require more than one coat to achieve the desired look.
