Are We in Pompeii or at Home in the Bathroom? The fine mosaic tile work in this shower is reminiscent in color and design of something you might see when visiting the ancient Italian settlement of Pompeii. If you are familiar with the saying "the devil is in the detail," you know that it means that lack of attention to detail can undermine a large project. This shower vividly illustrates how attention to detail supports this notion in the positive and has transformed this shower from nice into a work of art. The mosaic tile band just below the transition tile is confined within borders that are composed of one inch square tiles in a range of dark brown hues. Within the borders, beige and soft cream tiles form a background against which tiny oblong dark tiles spiral. This mosaic is as elegant and timeless as any you might see at Pompeii. And the shower itself with it's matte finish tiles in buff and beige call to mind the soft colors and light around the Bay of Naples. Viva Italia in the shower!
