Slate Roofs
If you are updating your roof, you may consider installing slate roofs. Slate is a natural material. So, when installed, homeowners often enjoy the variety of colors found in the stone. Instead of flat colors found in other roofing materials, slate roofs offer a more distinct color design. Slate can range in color from grey to black, red to pink, greens and blues. In addition to the color scheme variations noticed in a slate roof, many homeowners are also attracted to the material's overall durability. The durability contributes to the material's longevity, which in turn protects the homeowner's return on investment.
Installing a roof is often a significant expense. So, when shopping for roof materials, homeowners should consider the initial cost and the longevity. For example, a more expensive roof material with a longer life expectancy may be a better investment than a more affordable option with a shorter lifespan.
