Every property should have a fire alarm installed. They are affordable, easy to install and provide a great sense of security to the residents of a given property. Fires are caused for a number of reasons in a home, both external or internal. In some cases, fires develop from an appliance being left on within the home.
In other cases, electrical shorts can cause a fire to develop internally. No matter what the cause of the fire is, a fire alarm will alert the property's residents with a loud sound at the first detection of a fire. While most homes come standard with fire alarms, you may want to update, replace or add alarms to your property. In addition, you will want to test your fire alarm system on a regular basis. Ensure that not only the mechanism itself works, but that the batteries are updated at least semi-annually.
