If your siding is in need of repair, follow the simple steps as outlined below to remedy the situation.
Step One: Use the proper tools - Proper tools include a level, chalkline, tape measure, utility knife, framing square, sawing table, caulk with gun, tin snips, nail slot and snaplock punch, and a ladder.
Step Two: Prepare the surface - Before you can install siding, the surface needs to be cleaned and smooth. If there are holes or cracks present, the installation may not be effective.
Step Three: Insulate - Foam sheathing (foil faced) can be installed which will improve the effectiveness of heating and cooling within your home.
Step Four: Starter Strips -Install an aluminum starter strip at the bottom of the vinyl siding, making sure that it is level and parallel to the ground.
When you follow these four easy steps, you can install or replace vinyl siding on your home.
