When preparing for a home painting job, there are a variety of tools that you will need to complete it properly.

Drop Sheets - These sheets are used to cover the floor and furniture while you are painting a room, preventing the paint from damaging other items found within your room.

Good Quality Paint Brushes - Choose a variety of paint brush sizes to address the various nuances to the walls you are painting.

Paint Trays and Rollers - To cover larger areas on your walls, purchase paint trays and rollers. Typically, you will cover the largest areas first using paint trays and rollers and fill in the gaps with the paintbrushes purchased. In addition to the paint rollers, you may consider purchasing rods and extenders to reach the tallest portions of your walls. Extenders may reduce or eliminate the requirement of a ladder for your painting project.

Masking Tape - Look for the tape specifically designed for painting projects as it will prevent the paint from seeping under, leaving paint marks in undesirable locations. Paint tape will also ensure that you create clean, crisp lines on the walls.
