Bracing a Shower Frame before Sheetrock Installation

There’s really no support until you get the sheetrock on and the mud so I just put this brace here. Put a little kicker on the bottom here and it stiffens up the wall so it doesn’t move. So as we’re putting on the sheetrock and screwing it on, it doesn’t move. It stays perfectly level and that’s very important because of the tile guys. Everyone starts to complain down the line. If it’s not leveled, then you start to hear about it and especially if you’re trying to put those tiles into place. The tiles, we’re going to do 2x2 on the walls. If we’re off a 1/16th of an inch or a 1/8th of an inch, it starts to add up.
