Fat Mud for the Walls of a Bathroom Shower

What I have here is a mixture of sand, cement and lime. This is going to be what we call the fat mud for the walls. The lime makes it stick together more so we can get our ½ inch up on the walls. It’s 4½ to one sand to cement and lime. If you have 4½ bucks of sand, you have one bucket of cement and one bucket of lime. Basically you get it all in there and dry mix it. Once it’s all dry mixed, we're going to add enough water that when you push back through this way the mud's going to gush through these holes like a sausage. Ply it up on the walls after they're papered and wired. Takes about twenty-four hours to set and you’re good to set tile on it.
