Bay windows are a popular choice among homeowners and have been used for centuries in new homes and in home renovations. One of the reasons these windows are such popular choices is that they offer great views to the outdoors from inside virtually any room. Another popular feature is that many bay windows offer the ability to install a window seat under them, giving the perfect spot to homeowners to relax or curl up and read a book. And yet another reason these windows are popular is that they let a great deal of outdoor light into a space.

Most bay windows incorporate a casement window on either side of double windows. These windows can be customized to fit any space, coming in virtually every geometric shape. Bay windows are also available in a variety of materials, including wood, PVC and metal. The glass can be installed clear, frosted or stained to fit the homeowner's personal style.
